For this episode of “Punto de Vista”
Journalist Yolanda Perdomo visits the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago to talk with artist Jeff Maldonado. His large mural can be seen on 18th and Paulina streets. Maldonado describes his artwork as a book with several chapters. It is a tribute to the memory of his son J-Def who was killed by gang members. The mural is a tribute to his son and people who have died because of armed violence in the city.
