In this chapter of “PUNTO DE VISTA” journalist Yolanda Perdomo addresses the issue of Latinos and the media. How are they working to be professionals in radio, television, and social networks. Will Barroso talks about his organization that helps young Latinos work to produce, edit, write and present stories for media.

The second part of the program focuses on a mural located at the Cultural Center for Latino Students at the University of Illinois Chicago. The mural touches several stages of the Latino communities, their sufferings, their achievements and their struggles. It covers the four walls of the center and was painted by the artist Hector Duarte. Jocelin Mungia, a UIC student is our guide.
