In “Al Mediodía” con Salvador España:

We speak with the director of the UNAM’s Research Center on North America(CISAN), Dr. Graciela Martínez-Zalce, whose research interests are North American and border cultural studies, the theory of adaptation and literary and film criticism with a gender focus. We also talked with her about the documentary El jardin del Eden (1994)

* 15 miles of wall are the border that separates Mexico from the United States in Tijuana. In that arid desert, three women go to find the meaning of their lives. Serena is a young widow who goes with her three children to start from scratch. Jane is an American who goes in search of her brother and Elizabeth is an artist who wants to know her roots. In this hot place, which can mean both freedom and repression, they will find something more than they thought.   More on CISAN in www.cisan.unam.mx
